Stand up straight for all measurements! Slouching and looking down can alter measurements.
Wear a very similar bra or shape wear you plan to wear with your wedding gown.
Keep the measuring tape snug, but not too loose or too tight.
Ensure the tape measure remains straight and level with the ground for an accurate reading.
Wear shoes that are the exact heel height you intend to wear on your big day. If you're wearing a 3 inch heel while getting your measurements taken, you should wear 3 inch heels with your gown. Please note that gowns can be hemmed shorter, but not longer.
Avoid wearing bulky clothing during the measurement process.
Don't alter your body for the measurements future weight changes. Only use your current measurements.
